social functions

The Eta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi has several social functions every semester.

Every week a "swap" is held with a different fraternity so our Alphas, or new members, can make new friends on campus as well as get to know their new sisters.

During the first week of school in celebration of Bid Day, a Crush Party is held at a a local restaurant. Also, every fall close to Initiation, Eta has Black Diamond Ball, a formal in celebration of the Alphas who will soon become Deltas, or active members.

Later in the fall, all the sisters and their guests travel to a small town in south Alabama for a social called Mallard Ball. The theme is camouflage and sisters have a great time dressing up and dancing to a country band.At the end of the semester, a Tacky Christmas party is held before the week of final exams to celebrate before all the studying begins.

As soon as the members get back from Christmas break, a surprise social called a Grab-a-Date is held. Members are only told one day in advance about the party, which makes it even more fun. Also in the spring, Eta has a Spring Semi-Formal and one themed date party such as Famous Couples, Alphabet Soup or Rags to Riches. Finally, to end the semester, there is a Senior Send-Off right before school is out for the summer.
